It all began in 2003 when Stefan decided to trade in his skateboard for a drumkit. Being self taught, he began his career by playing along to his favourite songs and starting his own band soon after. A few years later he went for lessons and discovered first-hand just what a profound effect receiving proper education can have on a musician. This motivated Stefan and increased his passion not only for playing, but for educating others as well. Today, Stefan spends his time teaching, recording in studio, and playing regularly in church services and at Barnyard theaters across Gauteng.

LESSONS

Who can sign up for drum lessons?

Anyone who wants to learn how to play the drums. Lessons are suitable for everyone aged 8 and up. If your goal is to do an exam through an internationally accredited body, or to just learn your favourite songs, we've got you covered as lessons are tailored to your specific needs.

What will I learn?

We cover everything from the basics, to playing in different musical styles like funk, jazz, rock and latin. You will also develop your listening skills and learn how to read and write music notation. Teachers take the guess work out of what to practice next. Since they have been through it all before, they know what you need and what to avoid.

Where do you teach?

Lessons take place at the NG Church Moreletapark, Pretoria. It is conveniently located close to Parkview and Woodlands Shopping centres, parents who bring their kids for lessons could grab a coffee or get their shopping done while they wait.

When do the lessons take place?

Lessons take place on Mondays and Tuesdays between 14:00 and 18:00. Please send an email to info@stefanneldrums.co.za to arrange a suitable time for your lessons. Lessons are scheduled once a week.
